I speak to corporate audiences - either in-house for your company or for external corporate events on a wide range of topics under the broad heading of corporate social responsibility and sustainability strategy and reporting.
You can get a sense of the topics I cover and my style by reading some of the articles on this site. I believe in using plain language, aiming for a lively and participative style focusing on some of the most interesting - and at times controversial - issues. You won't get jargon or worthy-but-dull essays.
I describe myself as pro-business, pro-responsibility. People get hung up on the CSR label, but what I focus on is how successful companies can make a difference by putting values into their core business - making money responsibly, not just giving some of it away to charity.
An audience of both UKAPMP members and Carillion personnel took their seats in the impressive Molineux Stadium corporate hospitality suite, anticipating a worthy lecture on Corporate Social Responsibility. Everyone got more than expected, with an energetic, enlightening and above all entertaining talk about how CSR is so much more than companies "doing some nice things in the community".
... this [was a] lively and intelligent look at how corporate values should be linked throughout the business and reach out into the wider community. As Mallen emphasised to us, "It's not the WHAT, it's the HOW.
From UKAPMP event report
Mallen spoke to our assembled marketers about what CSR meant to them. They found the talk inspiring, and were surprised how relevant the issues were to their role in the business.
